I am a BACP registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist based in Brighton, with a background in NHS secondary mental health care and working with individuals in crisis. This means I have worked with a hugely diverse group of people grappling with depression, addiction, suicidal ideation, self harm, trauma, neurodiversity, gender dysphoria and more.
I graduated with distinction from the University of Essex with a masters in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy. In my therapy work, my main focus is around grief and trauma but I support individuals from all walks of life struggling with various difficulties.
Whilst psychodynamic theory - starting with Freud - is the basis of my work, I take inspiration from other clinicians and authors such as Bessel van de Kolk, Irvin Yalom and Gabor Mate. I am interested in how emotions show up in the body and how they may be communicated somatically.
Therapy is deeply personal - not every therapist is for everyone. Therefore it is important we take some time to determine if my approach is right for you. To learn more about starting therapy, take a look at my blog. If we decide to move forward together, I will be dedicated to working with you for as long as you need.
Send me a message - I look forward to hearing from you.
